The Congress of Black Women, London Chapter commemorated the Bicentenary of The Abolition of The British Slave Trade. Beginning Friday September 14th, through to the 16th, 2007.
This weekend was intended to educate and stimulate our community, as we reflected on our past, with a keen eye on the future. Events included a concert by Gospel sensation, Tiki Mercury-Clarke and guest speaker Royce Kinniebrew, President and CEO of The Kinniebrew Group, which provides Black History programs for schools and business. The weekend concluded with an ecumenical service, followed by African and Caribbean treats for the taste buds.
