Congress Receives Award from the City of London

The Congress of Black Women - London Chapter was selected to be recognized by the Mayor at the City Council meeting which was held on Monday, November 23, 2009.

This program is coordinated by the United Way of London & Middlesex on behalf of the Mayor through a Volunteer Selection Committee. The recognition consisted of a mounted certificate presented by Mayor DeCicco-Best at a Council meeting to representatives of the community organization.

The program has been in place since 2002 and recognizes the important contributions of non-profit organizations and their volunteer members to the London Community.
