Colette Chapman was born in Guyana, South America and immigrated to Montreal, Quebec in 1976. Her formal education consisted of obtaining high school diploma; a diploma from College Marie Victorin, in Techniques of Social Work, and simultaneously entering McGill University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Social Work and a minor in Canadian Ethnic Studies. In 2007 she obtained the Masters of Social Work from McMaster University.
Colette's employment history includes working as a Child Protection Worker and as former Manager in Child Protective Services in Ontario. She has a passion for children's books, trying new things, and enjoying life.

Margaret A. Mark and was born in Grenada. After completing High School in Grenada, Margaret emigrated to the U.K for further studies, becoming a Registered Nurse/Midwife. Leaving England, Margaret travelled to Canada where she was employed in the field of Dialysis/Organ Transplantation. After having her daughter Maya, she decided to return to Grenada because she wanted her daughter to know her roots.
After about ten years, Margaret’s daughter was ready to return to Canada, and so they did. Margaret has been employed as a Registered Nurse ever since, and is currently a Head Nurse with The City of London Nursing Home.

Jacqueline Hewitt has spent most of her life in London. She was raised in the city and obtained her bachelor's degree in Science (computer science) from the University of Western Ontario. She furthered her education (and cultural experience) in Montreal where she received a master of Computer Science degree from Concordia University.
Jacqueline has spent the last 4 years in London working as an IT project manager and business analyst at Info-Tech Research Group. As a project manager for IT projects she manages the schedules, the tasks, and the people to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the correct scope. Using her business analysis skills she makes sure clients get what they need. To support her role, she has since obtained a certificate in project management from Fanshawe College.
Jacqueline's leisure activities include reading, volleyball, running, and working with young people to enhance their learning and cultural experiences.

Jennifer A. Slay obtained her M.S.W. from McMaster University in 2003. She has been working as a Social Worker in a variety of positions at the Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex for eleven years. She started a second career in Mary Kay Cosmetics in 2005 and has steadily been moving up the career path within this organization.
Jennifer has been actively involved in the Community since moving to London in 2003. She was a recipient of a scholarship from the Congress in 2002 and has been a member ever since. She has also sat on the Board of a Christian Ministry and currently sits on the Board of the London Children's Museum. Jennifer has worked tirelessly within the London community to educate others regarding issues affecting black people and the world's poor. Jennifer also teaches a number of children music lessons in her spare time.
Jennifer is the mother of three, wife of one and friend to many. She lives by the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and understands that to whom much is given, much is required.
